Daily Web Visits to the IRIS website in 2008. The sharp peaks correspond to major earthquakes. The spike in April followed the M5.2 earthquake in Southern Illinois. The largest peak followed the M7.9 Eastern Sichuan China earthquake on May 12, 2008. The new IRIS website was launched at the end of May.

The increase in visitors during May 2006 was due to an earthquake in Java. The peak in September 2007 followed the M8.4 earthquake in Sumatra.
