The section on starttime, endtime has this:

- if the query contains channel= or location= then the startbefore and
startafter criteria are compared to the *channel* start and end dates.

so I think you mean "starttime, endtime" and not "startbefore, startafter"?

The way time queries work is a bit confusing with parameter meaning
depending on what other parameters are present. I wonder if explicit
level-time parameters like stations tartafter would be less confusing?
