Thread: Teachable Moment- Magnitude 8.6 Northern Sumatra (with Magnitude 8.2 aftershock)

A magnitude 8.6 earthquake has occurred off the coast of Northern
Sumatra followed
by a (continuing) vigorous aftershock sequence including a M 8.2 about two
hours later. A PPT and animation have been prepared with additional
details about the earthquakes. Feel free to edit or drop slides to create
a presentation that meets the needs of your students and the time you have
available in class.
