Hi,

I want to stack seismograms (receiver-functions) into ray parameter and back-azimuth bins.
Unless you guys recommend otherwise, I think I should use sumstack in the SSS subprocess. The sumstack command says you can "turn normalization option on or off. When this option is on the resulting summation is normalized by dividing each point by a factor that is the sum of each file's weight." Where is this weight stored and how do I change it? It doesn't say in the documentation (https://ds.iris.edu/files/sac-manual/commands/sss.com/sss.html), or I've missed it.

Anyone has a script ready (in SAC/bash/python) to do the binning?

Thanks,

Shahar
