Is there another consideration that needs to be taken when working with the source distribution? In my bashrc file I have:

export SACAUX=/usr/local/sac/sac-101.6a/aux
export SACDIR=/usr/local/sac/sac-101.6a
export PATH=/usr/local/sac/sac-101.6a/bin:$PATH

because I just changed the name for the new directory. I hope you have some comments on this, have a nice week. (-:
