The University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez is currently searching for applicants to teach and conduct research in the fields of Mineralogy-Geochemistry and/or Geohydrology-Near surface geophysics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must hold a Doctorate in Earth Sciences from an accredited university and have demonstrated the ability to teach and communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish, preferably in both.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
Applicants must have the capacity to teach basic courses in the earth sciences and undergraduate and graduate courses in their field of specialization. The candidate’s teaching responsibilities include serving on student research committees and advising undergraduate and graduate research, including master’s theses. The candidate will be expected to develop a program of externally funded research specific to their field of specialization and/or in interdisciplinary collaborations in the earth sciences, environmental sciences or natural hazards and resources.
