Dear colleagues,

I have found strange error using transfer command:

trans from polezero s ../CMG-6TD.paz to none freq 1 5 10 50
ERROR 1:

cat ../CMG-6TD.paz
ZEROS 3
POLES 6
-0.1480318458 0.1480318458
-0.1480318458 -0.1480318458
-391.9551525584 850.6930251097
-391.9551525584 -850.6930251097
-2199.1148575129 0
-471.2388980385 0
CONSTANT 2.257e+21

If I use following PAZ-file from another station all looks like ok.

cat SAC_PZs_GE_PUL_BHE__1998.125.00.00.00.0000_99999.9999.24.60.60.99999
ZEROS 3
POLES 5
-0.0370 -0.0370
-0.0370 0.0370
-251.3300 0.0000
-131.0400 -467.2900
-131.0400 467.2900
CONSTANT 3.510756e+16

What does it mean "ERROR 1:"?

Best regards,
Vladimir.

    Dear Vladimir -

This (admittedly obscure) message can arise if one of the numbers in the pole-zero description can't be parsed properly. My suspicion is that there is too much precision for a 32 bit float -- the number is simply too long -- but it might also be a garbage/nonprintable character in the file. To investigate, put a '*' at the front of every line of pole values and then remove them one-by-one to find out which one might be at fault. The CONSTANT value also might be problematic, so check that too.
