Hello webservice users, The DMC has updated it's ws-bulkdataselect service: http://www.iris.edu/ws/bulkdataselect/ The new version adds two optional query parameters: minimumlength Enforce minimum segment length (seconds). Only time-series segments of this length or longer will be returned. longestonly If specified, only the longest continuous segment for each channel is returned. Hello webservice users, The DMC has updated it's ws-station service: http://www.iris.edu/ws/station/ to version 1.2.5. This is a bug fix release to address the following issues: - Channel epochs correctly limited by selected time window - Correct response when minimum/maximum latitude/longitude are used - Improved documentation and error messages The schema for the returned XML has not changed. For users of the DMC's Fetch scripts no change is required. regards, Web services team

Hi Paul- The GB.ESK problem appears to be related to the fact that we do not have station metadata stored for this station at the moment. I think the reason you see it in QUACK is that it is in the real-time data repository (BUD) for the moment, but this may not be accessible as an archival dataset. I am going to forward this question as well as the others for timeseries behavior to our web services team to provide a more complete response. -Rob On Aug 2, 2011, at 1:15 AM,… [more]

FYI: using the ws_station web service to return a set of networks, net_code "IN" has an invalid start date of "0000-01-01T00:00:00". This causes an exception in my code, as there is no year zero. Thanks! -- John

Hello, I tried to make a query with the TimeSeries URL Builder ( http://www.iris.edu/ws/timeseries/builder) for TA data from an even in 2007. I have previously downloaded SEED and SAC files for this event at over 300 stations, but wanted to check out the TimeSeries Builder tool. the timeseries builder created this query for me: http://www.iris.edu/ws/timeseries/query?net=TA&sta=Y22C&loc=00&cha=BHZ&start=2007-07-23T22.30.00&end=2007-07-23T23.30.00&output=plot&ref=direct I was surprised to get… [more]
