Hi. I'm chasing down issues setting up to download and process a heap of data in python, using obspy. I've done the following test on various os, using python 2.7, with obspy 1.0.2 and 0.10.2 but all from the same ip route, which is behind what is probably a heinous campus firewall complex. The IRIS Federator is a database and web service that gives users the ability to find distributed time series metadata holdings from FDSN <http://www.fdsn.org/> data centers around the world.
