Welcome!

The IRIS Data Management System (DMS) is charged with archiving and making available data from the GSN and PASSCAL programs, as well as data from other sources. In a continuing effort to make this data more accessible to our users, we have decided to produce a quarterly, electronic newsletter designed to highlight the many services and data types available through the DMS from the Data Management Center (DMC) in Seattle, WA. This newsletter will be a supplement to the IRIS Newsletter and will focus on activities specific to the Data Management System. We will focus on new and existing data access tools, data types, projects and features of our Data Management System nodes.

NOTICE

IRIS has implemented a listserver for anyone that is having problems with any IRIS related service. Sending an e-mail to problems will result in the e-mail being seen by the Standing Committee chairs and the Program Managers of the 4 IRIS programs who will respond to your problem report as needed.

The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology is a consortium of over 90 research institutions with major commitments to research in seismology and related fields. IRIS operates a facilities program in observational seismology and data management sponsored by the National Science Foundation through its Division of Earth Sciences.
