Research Assistantships in Seismology and Tectonics.

The Geology Department of Miami University in Ohio is seeking to fill  
two separate 3-year research assistant positions to contribute to  
field and/or computational work examining subduction zone  
environments.  Students should have an interest in earthquakes, plate  
tectonics, and deformation, but previous research experience is not  
required.  Applications will be reviewed starting December 15, 2006  
and continue until the positions are filled.  Successful applicants  
can pursue either masters or doctoral degrees during the  
assistantship with start dates in Spring, Summer or Fall 2007.
