         The National Science Foundation is pleased to announce that  
Program Solicitation NSF 06-600, EarthScope National Office (ENO), is  
open. This solicitation calls for proposals to establish an  
EarthScope community-based office to foster and support integrated  
science, education, outreach, and related activities for the  
EarthScope program. The office will facilitate and coordinate  
EarthScope scientific planning and Education and Outreach activities.  
The office will facilitate collaborative research and when necessary,  
form scientific responses to "events" in EarthScope topics and/or  
regions of interest.

         Proposals are due by January 12, 2007.
