Position Summary:
This position is to support Reflection Seismology and other  
Geophysics faculty in the Department of Geosciences related to  
computational activities in their ongoing research, teaching and  
service, including computer system administration of a diverse array  
of computers and file servers, multiple operating systems, and  
multiple commercial, academic and private software applications. Day  
to day system maintenance and trouble-shooting assistance with both  
research workstations and personal computers used in research,  
teaching and service; application software development; integration  
of new hardware and software technologies; interaction and  
coordination with other Department of Geosciences computer system  
maintenance personnel. This position involves frequent interaction  
with faculty, graduate students and post-doctoral research associates  
in Earthquake and Reflection Seismology, Geodesy, Geodynamics and  
related disciplines.
