The Berkeley Seismological Laboratory at the University of
California, Berkeley is excited to announce two open postdoctoral
positions:
~Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Seismology, and
~Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Global Seismology.

~Post-Doctoral Researcher Position (Seismology)
The Berkeley Seismological Laboratory (BSL) seeks applicants for a
full-time post-doctoral research seismologist position, available
now, until filled. The successful candidate will conduct research on
earthquakes/regional seismology. He/she will have an interest in the
development and improvement of methodologies in support of regional
earthquake response. Ph.D. in Geophysics/Seismology required.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with
broadband seismic data. Annual salary ($38,412 to $47,916), depending
on experience. This position is initially for one year, with the
possibility of extension and growth depending on progress and the
availability of funding. Applicants should submit a personal

~Post-Doctoral Researcher Position (Global Seismology)
The Berkeley Seismological Laboratory (BSL) seeks applicants for a
full-time post-doctoral research seismologist position, available
now, until filled. Ph.D. in Geophysics/Seismology required. We are
seeking a scientist with interest in research in deep earth structure
and dynamics at the global and continental scale. We are particularly
interested in candidates with experience in working on 3D wave
propagation problems and/or tomographic inversion. Annual salary
($38,412 to $47,916), depending on experience. This position is
initially for one year, with the possibility of extension for a
second year depending on progress and the availability of funding.
