Dear Colleagues:

Following a lively and productive meeting in San Antonio sponsored by  
Earthscope, the controlled source community has been invited by  
IASPEI to form a U.S. National Committee on Controlled-Source Seismology

We invite you to join us on Tuesday at AGU (6:00PM, Palomar Hotel) to  
formally launch such a group, if the community desires.

We will update you about the instrumentation situation, our efforts  
to reach out to industry, and the status of projects that are planned.

We also need to push forward on writing a modest white paper that  
outlines our ideas and aspirations.
