This position is located with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS),
Office of the Regional Geologist, Central Region, Geologic Hazards
Team, located in Golden, Colorado.  The selectee of
this position will be responsible for the following major duties:

Support seismic processing applications for the Advanced National
Seismic System (ANSS) National Operation Center by assisting the
ANSS NOC Operations Task Leader in support and maintenance of the  
seismic
processing system; serve as the administrator of the ANSS Seismic
Processing Applications by configuring the applications, installing
new or upgraded versions of applications;  participating in planning
projects to improve the performance, reliability, and robustness of
the ANSS Seismic Processing Applications; serving as a liaison
between the NEIC and ANSS cooperating regional seismic networks; and
providing daily monitoring of the ANSS Seismic Processing Systems by
reviewing application logs, SiteScope logs, and performing fault
analysis when required.  May be required to be on call.
