Seismologist - GNS Science, New Zealand

GNS Science in New Zealand is looking for someone to undertake
seismological research using the New Zealand GeoNet Project
( http://www.geonet.org.nz ) earthquake data to improve knowledge of New
Zealand's 3D crustal structure and spatial and temporal distribution of
seismicity. The research will contribute to the understanding of New
Zealand tectonics and will be used for seismic hazard assessment
projects as appropriate. 

To be successful you will have: 

- A PhD in seismology
- Experience in using modern earthquake relocation methods
- Experience in using tomographic techniques to improve models of
crustal structure
- Experience in modelling stress interactions between earthquakes
- Extensive experience in computer programming (preferably also in
parallel computing).
