2007 GORDON CONFERENCE ON THE `INTERIOR OF THE EARTH'
**** APPLICATION PROCESS IS NOW OPEN ****
We encourage you to attend the next `Gordon Conference on the Earth's
Interior' to be held June 10-15, 2007 (Mount Holyoke College, South
Hadley,
Massachusetts). The Gordon Conferences are freewheeling meetings that
leave
significant time open for informal discussion and debate. The
sessions listed
below will take place in the morning and early evening, with poster
sessions
in the late afternoon and evening. Attendance is limited (to 140) and
the intent
is to generate lively exchange amongst a cross-section of Earth
scientists.
The previous meetings have all been a big success and we hope to
build on that
history.
For those unfamiliar with the meeting, participation in the Gordon
Conference
is a two step process. First, everyone has to fill out an application
to the
meeting. This can be done quickly online at:
http://www.grc.org/application.aspx
* under `2007', scroll down to `Interior of the Earth'
and press GO
* fill in the info & submit
Second, you will eventually receive an email message with
instructions for
registration.
The meetings are inexpensive. The registration cost ($710US) covers
registration,
room and board. There may also be limited support for students and
postdocs.
The program for the meeting is given on the web - but we have also
appended
it below.
We hope you'll participate!
Regards
Goran Ekstrom and Bruce Buffett
