Houston is the energy capital of the world. The Earth Science 
department at Rice University anticipates an opening in Energy 
Resources and seeks an outstanding scientist at the junior level who 
will forge strong ties to the energy industry in one or more research 
areas, including basin analysis and stratigraphy, hydrocarbon 
systems, sedimentary processes, fluid flow in porous media, or carbon 
sequestration. We particularly encourage applications from and 
nominations of women and minorities.

Successful candidates are expected to drive active research programs, 
supervise graduate research and teach courses for undergraduate and
