A Postdoctoral position in solid-earth geophysics at University of  
Chile, Santiago

The Department of Geophysics (DGF) at University of Chile, Santiago,  
calls for
applications for a postdoctoral research position in the field of  
seismology or
geophysics with some background in geodesy. Deadline for applications  
is July 10,
2009. Applicants should identify their primary field of interest for  
postdoctoral
research.
It is expected that the candidates show capacity for conducting a  
strong and innovative
research, to propose projects to be funded by national research  
councils.

The position is available for one year and it is renewable, subjected  
to satisfactory
performance and availability of funds. Salary will be determined by  
DGF in accordance
with qualifications and experience, and based on U. of Chile salary  
scales.
