2009 IRIS Board of Directors Nominations Committee Named
Elections for important positions on the IRIS Board of Directors will
be held during the Annual IRIS Membership Meeting in San Francisco on
Monday evening, December 14. The Board-appointed Nominations Committee
consists of one Board member and three community members:
David Okaya (Chair)
University of Southern California

Charles Ammon
Penn State University
cja12 at psu.edu
Jay Pulliam
Baylor University
Jay_Pulliam at baylor.edu
Lara Wagner
University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
lswagner at email.unc.edu
Elections this year will be held for 3 three-year Director positions.
All Member Representatives are encouraged to contact the Nominations
Committee to provide suggestions for candidates for the open positions.
The Directors whose term expires this year are:
Ken Creager - completing a three-year term
David Okaya - completing a one-year term
Suzan van der Lee - completing a three-year term
As described in the elections procedures of the By Laws, the
nominations committee "shall prepare a slate of one or more nominees
for each Director position to be filled. Prior to the Annual IRIS
Membership Meeting on Monday, December 14 (during the Fall AGU
Meeting), you will be informed of the candidates and provided with
details on the voting procedures.

Steven Roecker (2010)
Jim Gaherty, Vice Chair (2011)
Ed Garnero (2011)
Steve Grand (2011)
