[iris-bulk] (Job) Permanent CNRS Computer Science and Data management position

CNRS is opening a permanent position in Computer Science and data  
management to further develop the seismic data management and  
distribution in France. The position is being opened as a part of the  
up‐coming restructuring of French seismic data management within  
the framework of the RESIF-EPOS project. The successful applicant  
will, at a national level, manage either the definition and  
implementation of the distributed data infrastructure (domains  
management, VPN, ) or define and implement the protocols for  
communication, circulation and validation of data – depending on the  
applicant’s background. The successful candidate will actively  
participate in the other part of the overall project that he/she is  
not managing. At a local level, the engineer will manage the team  
associated with data management, manage and coordinate hardware and  
software associated with the local data management, and supervise  
quality control. The successful applicant will be expected to  
participate actively in data management and the technical committees  
of RESIF-EPOS.

Main skills required:
Experience within the area of architecture of Information Systems,  
network communication and (preferentially distributed) project  
management
Knowledge about data base management, system security, data management  
ethics.
