These targets may include station uptime, network average uptime, percent data availability in near-real time, and product availability or dissemination targets. Examples are the Global Seismographic Network (GSN), the International Monitoring System of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (IMS), the Transportable Array (TA) of the USArray element of the Earthscope facility, the Backbone National Network of the Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS), as well as networks operated by the U.S. Air Force and the national networks of several countries. This session is envisioned as an opportunity for network operators, managers and technical staff to gather and share expertise, tools and strategies for maintaining high-performance seismic networks. While many of these networks have different mission goals and use a variety of different data formats, hardware and software, all share the goals of high data recovery, operational and cost efficiency, and quality customer service.
