Expected downtime is 10 minutes. Reminder: DMC maintenance work, Friday Oct 3, starting at 9:30 AM PDT. The IRIS DMC will be performing maintenance on its mass storage RAID system on Friday Oct 3, beginning at 9:30. Expected work time will be two to three hours. what we are doing: The Isilon storage system consists of a cluster of nodes that will all undergo an OS upgrade. The entire process is expected to last 5-10 minutes. Following this, each node will go through a process of updating the microcode on each hard drive, of which there are a total of 60. This is a more tedious process but will have less of an overall effect on operations as work is performed. what does this affect?: Access to archived waveform data and certain other operational functions will be suspended during the short OS upgrade. The hard drive updates will only have an intermittent effect on BUD real-time operations.
