This has been exciting in Illinois. The IRIS program got a lot of  
publicity on Friday. The local news station looked at the seismogram  
I have posted on the internet on our district website. They sent a TV  
crew and interview students. Another sent a crew and it the newspaper  
also did a story.

I have installed the new dampering system that John Lahr sent. It  
does not appear to be as sensitive at the oil I used. Has anyone  
started to use it? Should I move the metal block back a little ways  
to decrease the amount of dampening.

My students have been thrilled. We are actually on our earthquake unit.
