        is to help
        early-career marine scientists (e.g., <b class="">PhD
          students, postdocs and new faculty</b>) plan and write
        effective cruise proposals,
        plan surveys to address significant scientific questions,
        execute surveys at
        sea, and generate at-sea cruise reports for marine geological
        and geophysical
        research and education. </span></p>
