Dear list members

As I am a new user of SAC not familiar with seismograms, I have faced some
primiliary questions. I would appreciate if you guide me.

-I am looking for vertical components of velocity and acceleration from
seismograms. So I used the TRANSFER function of SAC applying on LHZ
seismogram. I used respond file and PZ files as follows and gained similar
results for vertical velocity. Regarding the acceleration the results are
zero!!!. How I can evaluate vertical acceleration? If I convert the
seismogram LHZ to velocity and acceleration, are these values the exact
corresponding values or I have to add other channels? In other words, do I
need to evaluate vertical components of others like LHN?? Because at each
station that I am using the data, there are 16 different seismograms.(HHE,
HHN,HHZ, HNE,HNN, HNZ,LDD, LHE,LHN,LHZ,LME,LMN,LMZ,LNE,LNN,LNZ) I expect I
just need to transfer $$Z channels. if my assumption is correct, I just
need to transfer LHZ? or other $$Z channel are better?

the command that I used in SAC is:

--
%%using RESP file

>clear all

SETBB RESP "RESP.NV.NC27..LHZ"

>r LHZ27.SAC

>RTR

>TAPER

>TRANSFER FROM EVALRESP FNAME %resp TO ACC freq 0.004 0.007 10 20

%%using PZ file

>clear all

>SETBB pzfile "SAC_PZs_NV_NC27__LHZ"

>r HZ27.SAC

>RTR

>TAPER

>TRANS FROM POLEZERO S %pzfile TO ACC FREQ 0.004 0.007 10 20

>MUL 1.0e9
