Hello data users,

Unfortunately we introduced a bug in the fdsnws-dataselect service on April 17th (last Thursday). This bug caused largish data requests to sometimes, but not always, be artificially truncated. Combined with the fact that HTTP has no capability to report errors once the streaming has started, this bug would not be immediate obvious to end-users. It is not clear under what conditions the bug caused data requests to come up short, but it is more likely to effect larger requests. The symptom for end-users is that you simply did not receive all of the data you requested.

To address the issue quickly we have reverted to the previous release of the software effected as of an hour ago. If you think you are effected you should be able to resubmit your request to get all of the data.

Our apologies to any users that were effected. Thank you to the users that noticed something was wrong and let us know.
