The changes need to make CI_stations.xml valid is very minor, just<br>
replace NumberChannels with TotalNumberChannels. The changes to<br>
CI_BAR_resp.xml are more extensive, so perhaps removing that example<br>
would be a good idea. Or pull a CI.BAR resp xml from the IRIS web<br>
service. There still needs to be some hand editing to make it valid,<br>
but much less than on the existing file. Just a thought.<br>

How big of a revision to the stationXML schema do you anticipate? Is<br>
this a major reworking or just a minor cleaning up of loose ends? Do<br>
you have a draft revision yet? Would you be interested in comments on<br>
the new version as well? As I am actively writing software to process<br>
stationXML, I might have a useful perspective.<br>
