Hi Chad,<br class="">
<br class="">
Thanks for the information. I am reading an mseed file downloaded
from IRIS Wilbur in 2011 or earlier, and it appears in my software
that the location code is empty:<br class="">

PS - I have added a work around to this in my code, so you do not
need to reply again on the weekend!<br class="">

Hi,<br class="">
<br class="">
The following gives nothing in my browser (no error, no
change of page...):<br class="">
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/station/1/query?net=II&sta=AAK&loc=--&cha=BHZ&starttime=1992-12-12&endtime=1992-12-12&level=station" target="_blank">http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/station/1/query?net=II&sta=AAK&loc=--&cha=BHZ&starttime=1992-12-12&endtime=1992-12-12&level=station</a><br class="">
<br class="">
If I remove the loc=--, it works fine:<br class="">
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/station/1/query?net=II&sta=AAK&cha=BHZ&starttime=1992-12-12&endtime=1992-12-12&level=station" target="_blank">http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/station/1/query?net=II&sta=AAK&cha=BHZ&starttime=1992-12-12&endtime=1992-12-12&level=station</a><br class="">
<br class="">
Doc says:<br class="">
loc[ation] 00 Select one or more SEED location
identifier. Use -- for “Blank” location IDs (ID’s
containing 2 spaces). Accepts wildcards and lists.
Accepts exclusions.<br class="">
<br class="">
Am I missing something?<br class="">
<br class="">
Thanks,<br class="">
