We seek applicants for an 18-month postdoc fellowship at the University Côte d’Azur (Nice, France) to work on the identification of earthquake precursors in seismograms using Machine Learning.
The successful applicant will work at Géoazur in a strong team of Geophysicists working on earthquake problems with rising interest for Machine Learning (https://geoazur.oca.eu/fr/membres-equipe-seismes-geoazur) and will have the opportunity to interact with researchers in the Math department of the University (LJAD).
The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to publish results in international peer-review scientific journals and present them at international conferences.
Strong backgrounds in either Geophysics or Computing Science is required.
Interest for both disciplines will be appreciated.
The amount of the gross monthly salary will be 3000€.
Nice is located both on the mediterranean cost and in the Southern Alps, providing ideal living conditions.
