Join us on June 19th, 2020 at 11 AM PDT for:"Planning for
the SZ4D Initiative: Meet the Faulting and Earthquake Cycles Working Group"

Register now:

Please join us for a one-hour informational webinar and dialog about
the *Faulting
and Earthquake Cycles* effort in SZ4D. Meet the members of the working
group, and receive an update on the path and progress of this working group
to define the key elements of a new integrated program on earthquakes and
fault systems in subduction zones. This is an opportunity as well to ask
questions and offer suggestions and guidance to the working group.

*Pre-Registration is required to join this webinar. *After registering, you
will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the
meeting.

The SZ4D, or *Subduction Zones in Four Dimensions*, effort is a
research-community driven initiative in the U.S. to investigate the
processes that underlie subduction zone hazards. An NSF-funded planning
group is now working to map out a potential decadal-scale program in
integrated science of subduction and seeks wide community
input. Within SZ4D, three Working Groups have been convened so far to
address major areas of interest:

- Faulting & Earthquake Cycles
- Magmatic Drivers of Eruption
- Landscapes & Seascapes: Surface Processes and Subduction

This is the second in a series of three Friday webinars
from SZ4D throughout the month of June. The final one will be June 26th,
focused on the *Landscapes & Seascapes: Surface Processes and
Subduction* working
group.

There will be an opportunity for questions during the webinar. If you like,
you may also pre-submit a question for the webinar using this form (
https://forms.gle/kFrNnSxCngGdUTvS7), and we will try to address them
during the session.
