Thread: USGS Vacancy Announcements

Hello Everyone,

The USGS Earthquake Science Center's Earthquake Monitoring Project (EMP) has a vacancy announcement for two positions under one announcement. One position will be a Physical Science Technician in support of Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) for the Northern California Seismic Network (NCSN) and the other will be a Physical Science Technician (PST) position in support of the National Strong Motion Project (NSMP). The Northern California Seismic Network is the USGS regional network responsible for seismic monitoring operations in Northern California, and the National Strong Motion Project has the primarily responsibility for recording damaging earthquakes in dense urban environments and man-made structures.

These announcements will go live tomorrow 3/23/2021 and will be open until 4/9/2021 on USAJOBS - The Federal Government's official employment sitehttps://www.usajobs.gov/. The locations of the positions are Menlo Park/ Moffett Field for the NCSN, and either Menlo Park/Moffett Field or Pasadena, CA for the NSMP position. These positions are open to all to apply.
