[data-issues] compression error with G.SCZ

Greetings,
  The problem has been detected in the holdings at the DMC. We will  
fix this problem
promptly.
Chad has correctly summarized the cause in his earlier post.  
Operations did not remove the "bad" data before
archiving the "good" data for a brief time-window during multiple  
resends of Geoscope data during 2004.
The database was correctly pruned, but the waveforms found their way  
into the DMC's "packed"
version of the data.
  We are polling our system logs and defining what data we will be  
removing that is affected (incorrect)
Steim-1 data format. When this is complete, we will fix the POND  
data, as well.
