Suitable Systems Releases SeisMac 2.0, a Powerful, Free Seismograph
Application for the Macintosh

Suitable Systems has released a new version of its popular SeisMac
(TM) application, the free software-only tool that turns your
Macintosh laptop into a powerful, three-axis seismograph. Using the
Sudden Motion Sensor hardware built into recent Macintosh laptops,
SeisMac senses seismic motion in three dimensions and displays it as
three continually scrolling graphs.

SeisMac 2.0 was developed with support from the National Science
Foundation (NSF) through the Incorporated Research Institutions for
Seismology (IRIS). Building on successful earlier versions of
SeisMac, the latest release's enhancements make it an even more
valuable tool for classroom demonstrations of seismic concepts and
techniques.

SeisMac is free for Mac OS X 10.4 or later. For more information,
